Transport
times range from 45 minutes to 2 hours for transports to Tucson.
Advanced Life Support ambulances are equipped with Mini Med III IV pumps,
Life Pak 12’s and blood pressure monitors to facilitate patient
care and allow for patients that are on Heparin and Nitro drips. All
Paramedics are trained through Sierra Vista hospital and Arizona Ambulance
Transport for this higher level of care.
The Critical Care ambulance (CCT) is staffed with a Registered Nurse
and Emergency Medical Technician. The medical staff utilizes additional
equipment and medications to handle ventilated and other critical patients.
The CCT ambulance is available and staffed 24/7 to meet the communities
need.
Douglas
The Douglas operation has two Advanced Life Support ambulances staffed
throughout the week generally with a Paramedic or Nurse and an EMT.
Upon request from the Douglas Fire Department, Arizona Ambulance Transport
also supports 1400 square miles of the 911 system.
